Jill and Garret had ordered personalized Christmas stockings from Pottery Barn. They were sent to Garret's work where he had the opportunity to "tamper" with the package. He put the ring that he had been keeping for the last few weeks in Jill's stocking and re-wrapped the package to look untouched. On the morning of the 19th when Garret brought the stockings over to Jill, Jill felt "something" inside her stocking. She thought it was a 'free gift with purchase (A marketing person to the bitter end).' But when she drew her hand out of her stocking and saw the BOX, she knew instantly and the proposal followed...
The ring is a contemporary version of the traditional Edwardian trilogy style representing the past, present and future of our relationship.
To further symbolize the coming together of Jill and Garret, the two side stones were individually chosen for their unique heritage - born under the Northern Lights of Canada's Northwest Territories.
