Meet "Garanimal," otherwise known as "Noodle."

They say that opposites attract. Mmmmm... Have you ever tried to date yourself? Don't underestimate it. I'm not saying that Jill is "me." Far from it. She's too sui generis to be "me." But we certainly fit like a 'hand in glove.' Jill is more out going than I am -- at restaurants, should I excuse myself, I'll return to the table with Jill engrossed in a conversation with the table next door.
Jill is also the athlete. Granted I used to go to the gym and bike every weekend -- she goes to boot camp and the gym just about everyday.
Jill is also certainly more likely to adopt a stray (a.k.a. Pablo, or Diablo to me) than I am -- I have to interview the little ones mother; father is usually nowhere to be found.
Jill is also more charitable than I am -- she volunteers as a CASA.
Jill is certainly more frugal than I am -- 'Mervyns vs. Nordstrom's.'
Jill votes the exact opposite of me... on purpose.
With all that said, we are still remarkably similar. How so? We value the same things - the belief that wine is a food group, family, friends, travel, restaurants, nesting, the 'idea' of exercise, and each other. The only thing we fight about is "Safeway vs. 'Whole Paycheck.'" That and what movies to watch (I seriously question her taste in movies).
Being with Jill has been an incredible growth experience. From our first date, that lasted four phenomenal hours, I really knew that I had found my soul mate. God truly has been merciful with me. Bringing Jill into my life has opened an exciting new chapter in my life. And its title is "Love."
